About the event
This lecture will explore some of the insights provided by the Cathedral Archive into some of the ways in which Christmas has been celebrated at the Cathedral over the centuries, from the roles played by the monks of St Swithun’s Priory in medieval times in Christmas worship, and the food they would have enjoyed at Christmas feasts, to the carols that have been sung in the Cathedral over the years and the ways in which Cathedral clergy have presented the Christmas message in their sermons.
